Greg, I'm going to step in here and offer you some positive feedback, and if you'll really listen to me, some constructive suggestions.

As much as anyone around here, I'm vitally interested in the thread's future. And as much as anyone, I'm looking for the next gorilla wave. That's why, very early this year, I began to put together what we now call Project HUNT. We got company nominations from the thread, sought volunteers to investigate the individiual companies, and have received some really fine reports....see post 18187 for the list.

Those were presented to the thread in terms we all grasp. We read them, we discuss them, one of them has moved to the W&W list. Certainly, the list of HUNT companies is short. There are many, many other firms that we ought to be looking at.

You may have the midas touch in spotting them...spotting them early. That you're telling us is great, and there are surely a few who have latched onto one or more of them.

What I think the thread is objecting to is that your stuff comes across as spam...not that it is...that's just how it seems. Example, DS just asked you what the BTE on ORCL is as a B2B company...your reply didn't answer him...you just hammered again on your belief. IOW, for all you know and grasp about ORCL, and for all you believe will be the case, we have nothing from you to support it.

If you were presenting these companies to us in our terms, your impact, and effect, would be vastly different. When we were all really new here, Uncle Frank was pounding this drum...please present any company you wish, but do so in our terms. You weren't around then, so you missed all those urgings. But for the most of us, that's still vitally important to our understanding...and it does apply to your recent efforts here.

Frankly, I am split about this. For the approach you've taken with us thus far, you do belong on a different thread.
But change the approach, and you'll fit here perfectly well. May I suggest you check out the HUNT reports, and follow by laying out of of your favorites in similar format.

I could not glean from your response whether or not you have studied the ORCL situation WRT B2B and B2C. In your opinion, what are the BTEs and value chains that ORCL has formed in the B2B and B2C markets. "Leveraging its core and expanding" doesn't add much to the case of ORCL being a gorilla (candidate) in these markets.

RE: fuel cell, would like to see you do a project Hunt post on BLDP. I am sure you can find the prototype document. The hunt doc for ELON is an excellent template for you to use.

Otherwise, please don't use this thread to promote your holdings unless you are ready to support them in G/K terms. That is what this thread is for.
