I/NET Announces Renewed Agreement to Provide IBM Unit With E-Commerce Consulting Services

KALAMAZOO, Mich., March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- I/NET, Inc. INNI today announced it has reached a one-year agreement to provide e-commerce consulting services to the mid-range computing division of Armonk, NY-based International Business Machines Corporation.
I/NET, a Kalamazoo, Mich.-based software and solutions provider for the mid-range computing market, said it will provide IBM's Enterprise Systems Group with project management, information architecture, content management, application development, HTML programming, site administration and support for IBM's web-based marketing and communications campaigns for the ibm.com website. In addition I/NET will provide education and support of technical content writers as well as management of web initiatives and editorial review. The term of the contract is through March 2001.

"We are pleased that IBM has once again chosen I/NET to provide e-commerce consulting to support its AS/400 website," I/NET President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen J. Markee said. "I/NET's track record developing software applications that web-enable the AS/400, as well as our expertise in the areas of e-business solutions and Internet security, provides a depth of knowledge that will produce benefits for IBM and its AS/400 users worldwide."

With more than 700,000 servers shipped worldwide, the AS/400 is the most popular business computer for small and medium businesses in the enterprise market. I/NET develops and markets software that allows AS/400 users to conduct business on the Internet. The Kalamazoo company's I/NET Merchant/400 software, which allows users to process credit card payments in real-time over the web, recently earned a "Powered by AS/400e Award" from IBM for the second half of 1999. The awards are given to solutions developers who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to creating new business opportunities for IBM AS/400 users.
