Etrade says something has to come up or bring your accounts to their attention for them to close your accounts (i had bitched about some bad fills recently and requested they be reviewed).

IMHO, this is not OK. While it's one thing to ban multiple accounts of the same type (even though there may be legitimate reasons to have this structure) it's quite another to selectively enforce said ban against people who challenge a fill or otherwise cause problems for E*Trade. To do this reeks of an implied threat of "keep quiet and meek or we'll hurt you."

Glad to see you were able to make some progress on the resolution to your delimna. What really troubles me is the uncertainty, lack of clarity and inconsistency in some of E*trade's policies as stated on their website, in their user agreement, and by the human reps on the phone. Is it really asking too much for all of them to "be on the same sheet of music"?
