All the people need is an acceptible alternative to do what they want to do, which is to throw Clinton/AlGore out. Remember, Bush beat Ma Richards in Texas when her approval ratings were sky high. AlGore is not even liked - people dread the thought of him being around for four more years. There's no way AlGore, even with total Media support, can overcome that dynamic.
