QQQ was originally issued to correspond to approximately 1/20th the value of the NASDAQ-100, or 5%. However, since the stock was split 2 for 1, does it now correspond to 1/40th the value of the NASDAQ-100, or 2.5%? This is an important point, because if this is true, it should appreciate only half as fast as before.

Pre-split example: A 100 point increase in the value of the NASDAQ-100 would correspond to approximately a 5 point increase in the value of QQQ.

Post-split example: A 100 point increase in the value of the NASDAQ-100 would correspond to approximately a 2.5 point increase in the value of QQQ.

I'm not trying to make a point against QQQ here, I'm just trying to ensure I understand the relationship between QQQ and the NASDAQ-100. I did read the prospectus and the information on the NASDAQ-100 web site, but it only mentions the fact that QQQ was originally priced at 1/20th the value of NDX.

Thanks for any thoughts...
John

Many thanx Nick

I actually bot a QQQ LEAP, Jan02 110c (QYQAF) @29.30 on 3/20.

I am scared to report a 19% return after 3 days-considering I still have 2 yrs to go!!!

Does this appear real? or is it a mistake by the quote services? I am sure I use Tibco quotes.
