3Com to shed units to Extreme, Motorola

Just in 3Com will announce plans later today to shed parts of its networking business to Extreme Networks and Motorola in an ongoing effort to rejuvenate its struggling networking business.

3Com will retain its telecommunications carrier-oriented
technologies, such as high-speed access and Internet-based voice systems, as well as elements of its corporate business, according to sources.

Now that we are below some temporary support at 68, I agree
with you. I got within 11/16 of the high when I sold, know
you were out to beat that. I would have given my eye teeth to
be in your current position, though.

$71.50 is the best I've done this afternoon.
It looks like it'll stay that way, too.
