Bid $111 for the 2 million shares back?? Nice trade INCY! Go baby!

LOL . . . . nice one!

I was hoping more like CRGN, GLGC, SQNM, or ABSC. I like a forward bet into the functional genomics/proteomics market. The cash will provide a cushion at some point and from there management can draw a bead on someone if they want (and they should - nobody has all the skills right now).

Alternatively, INCY could plow more money or acquire someone in the diagnostic market. DiaDexus has been DiaDormant/DiaDead for too long. Fish or cut bait on this one.

HYSQ was a good candidate before Rathman came on the scene. I seriously doubt HYSQ is for sale now.

AFFX is also in a consolidator mindframe not a colsolidatee (is that even a word?). Witness their latest purchase.

Genset would be another stretch. It wants to be another MLNM if you can believe that one. (I have read several articles that suggest such an occurance).

Without equity investments but including loss and capital expenditures, INCY should 'only' burn apx. $30,000,000 this year. So what is INCY going to do?

P.S. I like this shakeout from an overall point of view. The sector had been overheated. A good scrubbing of the shareholder base was/is required. Once we are through this period of "whatever does not kill you makes you stronger" INCY's forethought about capital raising will become even more important. AFFX and MLNM should have done the same amount of fundraising or more, but they did not. Even if you do not think you will ever need the cash - you need the cash!!!!!
