CW, there are two kinds of noise on this thread. There is the noise of people promoting their favorite stocks with no substantiative backup, and there is chatter, both friendly and unfriendly.

I enjoy the friendly stuff.

There is also a lot of back and forth as we do analysis. Some of these posts are shallow, but taken in their whole, they add to our process.

Just because the face of this thread changes does not mean that we must accept the shallow stock promotion. Nor does it mean we should not ask ggamer questions.

I will not give up trying. A 20% signal ratio is way above others, and I think we have at least that.

Agreed, but it's a simple function of the number of people that have been attracted by our success. The core group of dedicated Gorilla hunters, augmented by a few of the newcomers, such as the ones who volunteer for Project Hunt assignments, are still active on the board. But as Greg proved, we are a vulnerable ecosystem since we have no mechanism to inhibit non-contributors and detractors from camping on our thread. This dilemma is not unique to our board; it is apparent throughout SI. Monitor the Cisco thread and you'll see the process at work.

If you value the work of this thread, waste no time complaining about its "changing face", but instead volunteer for Project Hunt.
