ted, I agree.....the margins in the cpu business must have been hurting the numbers in their core business. I believe the accelerated MHz race between AMD and Intel killed Via's CPU market share in the market outside of China. The fact that they decided to use a chinese name for the spin-off, indicates to me that its an attempt to use nationalism to preserve and increase its market share in China. What I perceived from todays Via's announcement is that they are slightly increasing their investment in their CPU business, but at the same time giving up on the market outside of China. Goutama
