Good news DJ. I was ready to buy if the market overreacts. Starting to sell 2.5wks ago, left me with very few stocks now. With chartered semicon, perhaps ALSC's holdings there will soon be comparable to its UMC stake? THAT, would be interesting. I've also been thinking that the semicons being held hostage by how taiwan does is probably a dangerous thing. Many manufacturers of chips for cell phones etc must be thinking seriously about places like singapore as alternate sources for their chips. It's just too dangerous to stick to one geographic location for these things.
