A bad reputation, with intimations of naivety at best, dishonesty at worst, is very hard to overcome. Don't tell me the CEO didn't know Exactly what he was doing...taking a 10 year services contract and counting it as if all the income were in the first year? Give me a break. "Irrational exuberance" as Greenspan would say. Pretty close to criminal exaggeration, others might say.
