>> Is [IBM wireless] why Interface was up $6 3/4 today? AFAIK, the link you refer to (http://www-4.ibm.com/software/webservers/transcoding_l2i.html) was published after the close on Monday. Thus, it could not be responsible for the INTF move. It is, however, the first time Interface has been acknowledged publicly on IBM's website and should signal things to come. INTF is up from 36 on Tuesday to 49 7/8 Monday and the only news is the Congressional Securities press release and report (see www.congressionalsecurities.com for a free copy of the report). I would really like to think that the news was responsible, but frankly, I think people are just beginning to discover what we've known since the Project Hunt report. INTF is the driving force behind IBM's SecureWay Host Integration and Wireless products, receiving both an average $75,000 up front ($50,000 net) and substantial recurring revenues from each sale. What's more, IBM's sales force is selling INTF's Document Server as if it were IBM's own product and are receiving full commissions on sales of the same. Though the lack of proprietary architecture makes the L2i (Legacy-to-internet) market a royalty game, INTF is way ahead of its nearest competitor, Xenos, in both product development and market share. This makes INTF a solid enabling software King. In addition, there is an IBM webcast entitled "Taking Your Apps to the Web!" featuring Rich Sheridan, INTF VP of Development, on Wed (http://www-4.ibm.com/software/webservers/transcoding_l2i.html) who will discuss "Using WebSphere Transcoding Publisher to deliver Brokerage Documents via Wireless Devices". This irrefutably solidifies INTF's value chain and establishes INTF as the de facto standard for L2i conversion. Expect some interesting developments to follow. . . If that isn't enough, a split is expected soon (not GG but fun anyway). M
