McMannis - Our Very Own Bam Bam Ja Ja Man

Re: "You'd better break out the old math book and hope Intels chart doesn't look like a parabola.
Hint, it doesn't."

Intel's chart is WAY UP and to the RIGHT - and that's all that matters to me.

As for you, You have given up a $59 UPSIDE in Intel - which is >$6 more than AMD's entire STOCK PRICE.

BAM BAM !!!

You Flynched !!!

In fitting a curve to Intel's prices you need a very high order odd-polynomial in t. The coefficient of the highest order term is clearly positive. There are some negative coefficients on the lower order terms. If you want to trade a stock that has a shape as this you have to be careful on the short end not to stay short too long or to be stopped out. This is a a good candidate for buy and hold. Intel went public in 1971 (as the inaugural NASDAQ stock at $23.50 a share 350,000 shares.) There have been several splits since then - most recently 2/1's in 4/99, 7/97, 6/95, 5/93. IMO this would be an excellent time for a split, but we need to authorize about 6 billion more shares -- oh hell, make it 12 billion -- 6 billion for us and one each for every other person in world. Just produce "Intel" birth certificates.
