Reflections on recent wave of FUD:

This is intended to help the newcommers understand the undercurrent of some of the more recent FUD loaded posts here.

1 - None of the X-Box principals, e.g. MSFT, INTC, made an announcement regarding the nature of its DRAM. That the X-Box will use DDR is speculation by some based on old news when AMD was the candidate. Samsung is planning a $200 box using RDRAM by the end of 2000. Can't MSFT have a $200 RDRAM box by mid to late 2001. Wake up fudders.

2 - Much of the negative comments about RDRAM comes from AMD/VIA supporters, arch-rivals of INTC. Such comments will totally collapse once AMD give up and announces RDRAM support. They just simply can't survive without it. They don't have much of a chance against INTC anyway. But they are dead without RDRAM. Just wait and see. Again, wake up fudders.

3 - To think INTC support of RDRAM is thin or short lived is naive at best. The hundreds of millions that INTC invested in Samsung, Micron, and Infinion, were the result of much in depth research on the merits of RDRAM for years. No Tom will be able to change their mind. They have made the tests themselves and they know. Again, wake up fudders.

4 - To think that INTC is supporting RMBS because of their investment is asinine. INTC could easily walk away from the $1B investment if they figured it would risk their future business. Six years ago, a much smaller INTC set aside $500M to cover the cost of recalling the early faulty Pentiums. Again, wake up fudders.

5 - We are now about four weeks away from the RMBS quarterly results and a conference call. That will certainly wake up the fudders.

Good luck investing. Trade at your own risk. Go short, loose your money and post on penny stock threads. RMBS is only for the big boys.
