Felix - Re: "Market should move this stock to over 170 on speculation of a split announcement. "

I think that's expecting too much. Intel already has a 61 P/E for the prior 12 months earnings.

Re: "regardless of what Bam Bam says, you provide a real service to the Intel thread"

Thank you very much.

Bam Bam is just a poor loser, trying to "talk Intel down" so he won't have to feel so bad about all the money he LOST while the rest of us have raked in the dough.

He's been a sore loser for years !

Paul

Felix Appabolonie,
RE:"Market should move this stock to over 170 on speculation of a split announcement. Also, regardless of what Bam Bam says, you provide a real service to the Intel thread."

This appears to be a pattern. Once Intel reaches 100 it makes a nice line up to 150 or so where it splits. Your observation that this due to an anticipated split is a good possibility.

I don't think any major shareholder/bulldog like Paul does a service to Intel by going ape when some one questions Intel. This results creating an adversarial relationship, even an Intel hater. OTOH, nice guys like Tonee, Tench, PB will take they time to objectively argue a point, maybe even convince a naysayer to change their mind.
Intel itself agrees with this. Once upon a time there was an INTEL technician named Stockman who posted a lot like Paul. He happened to work a Intels Rio Rancho facility. Prior to being named "Stockman" he used his real name on SI. When it was pointed out on the AMD thread, where some of his associates were reading, the cat got out of the bag and Mr. Stockman was called into the supervisors office where he immediately had his hands sawed off the keyboard and was warned not to post on SI or else...his associates that turned him in even e-mailed me apologizing for him and stated they were embarrassed by his actions. They even gave me his phone number so I could call and have a little chat. I never did.

Still, it wouldn't be the same without "old" Paul on the thread...<G> He like a father to Scumbria, Steve and myself.
