Received the following as a Schwab Alert: * Israel's El-Op Electro Optics Industries said late on Sunday it signed a deal with MRV COMMUNICATIONS INC to bolster its global presence in its electro-optics subsidiary. Meanwhile, Israeli anti-trust authorities on Sunday approved a merger between El-Op and ELBIT SYSTEMS LTD, an Elbit spokeswoman said. MRV will invest an undisclosed amount in Red C Optical Networks, a recent spin-off of El Op, said Yossi Boker, Red C's general manager and chief financial officer who previously was director of business development at El-Op.
