Oh yes, that's why those exact ram manufacturers developed a standard called DDR which has higher performance and a lower price. Did it ever occur to your tiny little mind, maybe even for a second, that if they were "ON BOARD" with rambus that they wouldn't have needed to create their own non-proprietary standard?
