Columbia River Resources Inc.: Independent Report Confirms 'Ayaco' Anomaly

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2000-- Columbia River Resources Inc. (OTC BB listed symbol ``CRVV') is pleased to announce that it has received an independent report confirming the potential of the Ayaco anomaly. This report was commissioned by the Company in order to verify the data reported in the Phase One Exploration Program completed earlier this year by CME & Company for the purpose of filing the report with regulatory authorities.

In his report Dr. Robert J. Griffiths states that the Ayaco concession has several geologic anomalies which clearly warrant further investigation. The first priority should be the strong eastern anomaly in Area No. 1 but other areas also warrant further assessment. Work to date indicates that there are low grade zones of disseminated gold in the bedrock which includes higher grade quartz veins probably related to a more regional system, possibly northern extension of the type structurally controlled gold systems in the Yamfo district.

Dr. Griffiths further reports that the work carried out on the concession by CME has been of a high professional standard, using well proven exploration techniques and carrying out all analytical work at well established laboratories in Ghana and Canada.

The Company is currently entertaining proposals from major Joint Venture Partners as well as the possibility of internally funding the next phase of exploration.

President
