We're talking round-trip, at 9:30pm at night, after a long day of finishing her thesis and throwing a party, in a neighborhood she likely was unfamiliar, after telling someone how tired she was. Yes, scenarios where Suzanne walked to where she was found are quite possible but not very probable, IMO. I think the point has been made often enough that comments about being tired are often a polite way of disengaging from someone. She could have several reasons, perhaps she was late for a rendezvous, she didn't like the guy, or she really was tired, but we don't know. Also, perhaps you don't remember college life very well Jeff, but at 9:30 on a Friday night, I was just getting ready to start my evening. Even after a long day.

That's why rumors are so vicious. Even if the smoke is manufactured people will still smell fire. A woman he had a relationship with 16 months prior speculates Jim might have been responsible for several hang-up calls and somehow suddenly he's rumored by the media to be a stalker. Say what? You also have to wonder what kind of person files a police report over "several" hang-up calls. I can see if there was heavy-breathing, threats made, etc. but just hang ups? Give me a break. I get hang-up calls all the time. If a woman wants to be with a man then his advances would be welcome. If the woman were not interested in a man the same advances would be unwelcome. I believe this to be the most likely scenario. The fact that no stalking reports were made to the police does not mean there were no unwelcome advances. I get hang-up calls all the time. I rarely get hang up calls on my home phone. On one of my work phones I get hang up calls frequently. I am 95 percent certain I know why...it is one of the girl friends of the guy that usually answers the phone and she does not want to talk to me! I am not trying to indicate the calls were by Jim. However hang ups get my attention. If I get more than one hang up call at home I get concerned. Why would someone call and then hang up? Without more details one can only speculate. However in some situations I believe a woman would have a pretty good idea who was calling and hanging up on her...ie no hang up calls for months and then two or three while something was happening with a guy might be a good indication.
