I will be in touch about Seattle. Agree with your post, except I can't sell my stock portfolios, gains are too large eve with long term tax rate.

I am curious. I have made most of my money in options recently by selling puts. Are you flipping all the proceeds into buying calls? I have such large margin requirements that in my trading acct all I have is a huge amt of cash and lots of puts that I have sold. If you are buying calls in bulk what is your discipline? I usually keep my number of contracts (sold puts) to a definite # of contracts. I have been reluctant to buy large # of calls because of effect on my margin credit (or lack of it compared to cash). Every month I take excess cash out of this acct and buy the common for long term buy and hold - would buying LEAPS or calls instead make more sense?
