Akins-Biz going well, better than their expectations-need new laser when you go below 250nm-change to copper usually also means change in laser-pc no longer big driver (wireless-inet)-optical goes for long time(at least ten years)-cymer has family of lasers. Generally well stated with high credibility and confidence. Interviewers seemed like they were coached to ask the right questions.

Akins interview was very upbeat. Akins stated that business was "ahead of their expectations", driven by migration to 180 nm, less by PC and more by internet hardware and telecomm gear. Said that optical litho will remain litho process of choice for next 10 years. The only hedge was when asked opinion of smoothing out of industry cyclicality, said he would get back to that question after the end of this cycle.
