Ron, There are thousands of research projects out there. Some may eventually make it to products. SPD was in these early stages of development for several years before any manufacturer took a chance. The great thing about SPD is that we now have several viable markets for products and several major companies with large customer bases (who become potential future licensees of SPD) in the process of commercializing SPD film (which availability will open up several new product applications from companies waiting to be able to first purchase SPD film before signing on) and SPD products. Saxe has recently said to a Dow Jones Newswire reporter that there is a "strong possibility" of a product or products to be on the market as early as tomorrow and no later than June next year. Knowing the arduous task it has been the last two years to ramp up to commercialization and, the even longer two decades prior to that to even get companies involved, I don't anticipate someone is going to come out of the blue and go directly to manufacturing. Gentex has been working on an ec window for years and stated recently that they still need much development work on the technology. We have Hankuk who has already had an SPD smart window approved by the Korean government panel of scientist and dubbed "excellent Korean Technology." We will have been receiving dividends for years before the next contender even makes it to the drawing board. Look very soon for SPD in auto glass, architectural glass and eye wear and possibly FPDs this year. This year is going to be the best time for us long termers. ND
