AUSTIN, Texas, Mar 21, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Tanisys Technology Inc. (OTCBB:TNSU) ("Tanisys"), a leading supplier of automated test equipment for a wide variety of memory technologies, today announced that during its participation at the recently held Rambus KK Memory Solutions Forum in Yokohama, Japan, the DarkHorse Model 800 Rambus Test System received wide industry acceptance.

The DarkHorse Model 800 is the industry's first cost effective, at speed, production level RIMM module test system. First customer shipments of the DarkHorse Model 800 occurred in December 1999.

Charles T. (Chuck) Comiso, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tanisys, stated, "We were pleased to accept the Rambus invitation to participate in this Forum. Tanisys has developed test solutions, such as our DarkHorse Model 800, in an effort to lower the overall cost of RIMM production. We are excited that the Model 800 received strong customer reviews at the Forum. Presently, we have systems installed or scheduled for evaluation at five of the six validated Rambus RDRAM suppliers. An expanded feature set is also in development to further enhance the Model 800's capabilities."

Avo Kanadjian, Vice President Worldwide Marketing of Rambus Inc., (Nasdaq:RMBS) stated, "Tanisys has designed and developed a low cost, at speed, multi-site RIMM test system that will assist the Rambus memory technology to receive additional market acceptance by lowering the manufacturing cost associated with the testing of RIMMs."

"The success in fiscal 1999 and continuing into fiscal 2000 for Tanisys DarkHorse Test Systems is extremely encouraging and leads us to believe strongly in our ability to continue to meet the needs of our industry for more cost effective semiconductor memory module test systems," noted Comiso.

Well I am back in at 287. I missed the bottom badly through being away from my desk for an hour.

The sellers:buyers ratio on Island turning below 2:1 convinced me. Seem to be bumping along the bottom here at the moment, but I expect a pop at the close as daytrading shorts exit.
