In the grand scheme of things it may not mean much. The problem is (as I see it) many times we get just the tip of the iceberg. Take Clinton and Lewinski for example. Did he lie under oath....yes! However, while the media had us all focus on his sex life, they took our eye off the real ball. The real issue wasn't lies and sex it was a transfer of ICBM technology to China. He was guilty of treason. All the while the media had us focused on sex in the oval office. Having said that....they're all pond scum!

As I mentioned to mph... I pay taxes for better schools, safer neighborhoods, clean environment, and world stability - not to hear them bicker about this trivial stuff. So, how much tax dollars are we going to spend on investigating whether or not Gore made calls from the white house... what does it matter.

I pay tax dollars for the same things. I don't care for my taxes to subsidize the efforts of an incumbent party, however, whether Republicans or Democrats, to stay in power. That's what the National Committees are for.
