Alright Joan, I have never heard of either conversion or intermarriage as being normal between Irish Catholics and the Anglo- Irish/Scotch- Irish, but have it so because Bosnian Muslims are "Serbian". Perhaps you do believe in blarney in the blood....... As I said, the Irish seem to claim all born on their isle, for literary purposes. But when they are talking about the ethnic group, they mean Gaelic and Catholic. Since you doubt it, and I do not care enough to prove it, you can have that your way too, though......
