ARMIN THIS ALSO WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTION Subject: Re: About Yukes Date: 03/21/2000 11:45 AM Central Standard Time From: FENDERTM Message-id: <20000321124504.01948.00007915@ng-dc1.aol.com> Steved, The Nate, somnambulista, whoever... I believe THQ's ROA was stated in the 4Q cc, as being between 30-40%, hence there was no reason for a stock buyback. Inland Productions, at the time, (almost 4 years ago) was a strategic purchase of a 25% interest by a very small company trying to make it with the big boys, called T-HQ (Toy Headquarters) (TOYH). THQ reaped benefits beyond anyone's expectations especially with the success of WCW Nitro (PSX) created by Inland, which, I believe was THQ's first "Greatest Hits" title, selling over 1 million units. THQ is much bigger and better now. Please refer to the financials. Yukes is known on a WORLD-WIDE basis for developing "the BEST" wrestling games in the WORLD! This stake by THQ guarantees exclusivity to the best engine for the US and European markets. As you know, the GameFx purchase was never about the team(s), it was about the technology and tools...nothing has changed. THQ will see the benefits in DC and PSX2 development and I assume X-box. Heliotrope may not have produced any blockbuster titles, but a small company like THQ needed to walk before they run. BTW, it's funny that Anthony and probably his brother are with or working with Genetic Anomolies now. PCPL and Heavy Iron it's still too early to tell what impact they can have. E3 is only 7 weeks away, yet THQ is announcing great things left and right. Do you really think they will have NOTHING material to announce E3? If you want to try to match apples to oranges and talk about things that happened almost 4 years ago thats fine. Why not bring up the X-modem or the Vanilla Ice dolls? You have all the tools and information about THQ, but you STILL fail to analyze them properly. We will talk again later this year in Oct, Nov and Dec and I'll explain it to you.
