Hi Dear Unq,
I may not get out of margin for a long time...I am now subscribing to "vector vest" and the strategy I will use (when the service says to put new money into the market) uses margin ALL of the time!!!!!!
But it only trades once a week, and sometimes not at all!!! So that part will be "calm".
It gives one of those pretty, colorful pie charts of your holdings: I'm 43% qualcomm (more really since it doesnt post options), 17% gemstar and 11% citrix. Then the rest of my stocks make up the rest in smaller amounts. I have almost 11% JDSU but I'll probably "lose" it in April at 130 as I have cov calls that I don't intend to buy back. Then again we may have a longer correction (like three days maybe) around April expiration time, who knows?
I did buy back one of my three contracts of cov calls on Cree so that I can keep one hundred of my 300 shares...but I sold the call for 20 and bought it back at 9 so that's not too shabby.
The market goes up
The market goes down
And now I can face it
with almost no frown.

Time and money
Do wonders for you
To iron out the rough spots
of investing, it's true.

Hm made my first oracle buy: 10 '02's strike 70 bought at under 32. They should do fine.
The weather is GORGEOUS in Southern Cal this week, sunny with a sliiiiiigt chilly breeze that makes you want to dance.
Country line?
Lindy?
