DW said that any brokerage is prohibited from initiating coverage of a company if they are underwriting a spinoff of that company. In other words, the 25 day (after IPO) quiet period restriction is in effect for both companies. When we hear from MSDW about AV, I suspect they will initiate coverage of CMGI.
