Hi Freeus, post what ever you want. I built my own house a few years back, nothing like building your own house... I'm doing my basement I'm mean pool hall.. Got a question about the house throw it my way or donnie... If you are having someone do the frame, get real pro not some young turk that will slap it up and use real ply-wood if you can, watch out for cedar shake roofing in damp areas like a lot under trees.. Don't buy low-end windows go with best you can afford, they will pay for themselves many times over. If you can swing it use 2 by 6's for the extra insulation. I put all wood floors though out in my house, since I hate those dust mites and their do do.. LOL.. The floors are great I'll never have carpet again.. Pick a good concert guy, he can make or break a house, don't pour the concrete in the winter, make sure that use a wire mesh under the flat areas, like garage and basement here is where a real pro can do you good job. Also, make sure they have wings (two not one) that come off the foundation to rest the stoops on or they will sink later on.. and when you poor the walk ways make sure they drill holes in the stoops to jam rebars in, so the walkway doesn't drop near the stoop later on.

no time to spell check got to go..

Now if I could only talk to Frank about quantum effect transistors my day would be complete.. <g>
