alan - do you think that the timing of the ny expo, which may or may not have corresponded to a top (thus everyone wants to make a million today), contributed to people's questions? i was at the barber's today, and he barely knows the internet ("amazon is a big company, aren't they?")...but overheard he bought some shares of pets.com when it IPOd (i think it was that one), and some penny stocks a few weeks ago, and they've "all gone down once i bought them...do you know any tips?" i guess the upside is that there's more 'dumb' money out there (which raises my probability for making money), but it still scares me...
