<<Lossing 2,000 shares of MRV is in my book, significant money!>>

Well, I would have received $100 per share of course + the premium on the calls, making it about $122 - higher than we are at the moment. But then I would have had to pay taxes
on the ST gains. This way I can hold for the long term.

There was much nervousness on the thread right after the CC and before it became apparent we were going WAY up. I was nervous too, due to the loss of switching revenue, but the merger not until Q2. At the time I thought that we might be having one of those "false" rallys, followed by a retrace. The selling of the calls would have been a good move then. I never really wanted to sell the shares, just to either buy back the calls lower or let them expire worthless.

Boy was I wrong! But, the market gave me a very short "out" at a profit on those calls today and I grabbed it.

Who knows what tomorrow brings, but I suspect a corner was turned today.
