It would be very hard to argue that AlGore isn't as corrupt as he has proved himself to be - remember, he has no controlling legal authority. To try would be futile. Connect the dots: the notoriously corrupt Clinton/AlGore Administration completes the settlement with OXY to pay for the cleanup and then sells the naval petroleum reserves at Elk Hills - a reserve coveted for 70 years - to OXY. AlGore's interests get protected and his family's long and close relationship with a most notorious polluter goes largely unexamined. That was before AlGore went somewhat berserk, claiming before various audiences that he discovered Love Canal.
