It's important to know that Nortel and LU have immense telco expertise and connections and huge in-house fiber optic expertise, mfg. capabilities etc.. Cisco is coming to the party starting from ground zero. Cisco has to spend much, much more than NT and LU just to get into the same neighborhood. I'm telling you guys - read the SI, raging bull, fool and even the yahoo NT message board and then couple that with reading the NT news clippings over the past 3-6 months. Read the market share information. Nortel is beginning to pull away in this sector. Compare the NT 'wins' in this sector versus Cisco and LU - combined. The fiber optic telco leader is emerging.
