Thanks for the note. OFC was luminescent but I believe that the new divide in the industry is between companies that are willing to waste bandwidth and expand the newly scarce resource of lambdas and those that are essentially retrofitting the old telecom system with WDM. Will Hicks got up in the audience to bash me again for underestimating the number of wavelengths that are possible. With millions addressable by frequency or space in a cable, the industry can return to a circuit switched system that can be consummated with millisecond routing rather than picosecond packet reading. --GG
