folks, a new spin from the spin meisters. the old "demand continues to remain strong" line w/ a new twist ;-)

mu w/b at about $180 if they made estimates ;-)

2nd half eps will be better than 1st half.

The section of this article that you highlighted in bold is just too much! Bloomberg, of all people!

On the conference call, some analyst said 30% and management had to correct him and repeat that bit production to inventory was up 20% sequentially. Bit shipments were up 10%.

Jim Bagley, the CEO of Lam Research, the semi cap equipment maker, (and as far as I can tell a straight-shooter, not a BS artist) sees a yearend DRAM shortage due to lack of capacity with 64 Meg DRAM rising "perhaps to $10 to $11."
