Interesting question--"When will CSCO exceed MSFT in Market Cap ?"---(probably best left as a bar room discussion over libations ;-) ).

Well, the simplist answer is when CSCO hits about 152 on an un-split basis but that ignores any growth in MSFT. To get
some idea of the comparative CSCO/MSFT growth, look at--

siliconinvestor.com

That relative growth depends on the period over which it is taken/compared. Lets assume there is NO price growth for MSFT. From yesterdays 6 points in CSCO, it could even be this week. Of course, these "bragging rights" don't make
any difference.

By extrapolating last 12 months' performance*, it will take less than one month for CSCO to equal MSFT in market capitalization. I got this from the following equation:

507+0.2/12(507)m = 465+1.6/12(465)m; m = 0.78 months

-- the 507 and 465 are the present market caps in $Billions for MSFT and CSCO respectively.

-- the 0.2/12 and 1.6/12 are the respective monthly cap growth rates* for MSFT and CSCO respectively.
