Hi Duker- I fully agree with your thought that responsible brokerages should be proactive about reining in margin excesses, particularly before the long hand of government does it for them (or things hit the fan, or whatever). BUT -- my point, and I am not personally affected either, is WHY CFMT? Nobody I've spoken with has ever heard of taking a stock off margin capability due to low volume! Not to say it has never happened. But CFMT, while it may reside in a forgotten corner of the semi equipment universe, is hardly obscure. And while Schwab has tightened up margin requirements on quite a few mania high flyers, how is it "okay" for those non-asset-based wonders to continue to be margined to ANY degree when a stock like CFMT trades not that terribly far above book? In any case, was also glad to see the news out of the company and hope we'll see more soon! I continue to like the company. But if you had told me we'd be (in terms of our CFM positions) sitting out the greatest rally in the sector I could have ever imagined, I'd have laughed! Not laughing now... Best, CN
