Great day for the new economy, the old economy also did well like Brka did end up plus 700, it is all the question of where do you place your IBM INTC CSCO or AOL if it is in new economy it is good if it is the old economy you must have done well too.

Nice to see old economy and new economy living together, I wrote last week that at a certain point the two will live together happy, but for me the Comp 13 days ma crossing is a must clearstation.com, it did blew past it and we need a second close above that.. MACD is showing somestrength but the buy has not been generated.. and it will take some time..

We did test 10805 for considerable period of time yesterday,http://www.clearstation.com/cgi-bin/details?Symbol=_INDU

a buy signal is generated on DOW if not on Comp.. notice that green thing..

we did try to take out the 200 days ma, a normal after a huge test of 9800, both attempts to weaken that support failed, nice to see that DOW makes a base here exactly a 1000 point higher than the 9800 pivotal support, very important resistance area if you go back 10800-11000 took al ot of doing before neds some good earnings to break through it..

Also MSFT CSCO IBM INTC MU pushed the Comp ahead alongwith our little disliked internets.. one of the experts I follow said it nicely....

<<our hats go off to the arbs, who proved once again that they can do anything they want with the indexes, yesterday they squashed the shorts with a button press, setting off blitzkrieg moves in GE, CSCO, MSFT. These names, which account for a huge % chunk of the indexes can be manipulated if you have the muscle. Lets be arbs when we grOW up or maybe go over to the Amex and mess with those options, both sure shot licenses to pullage the village. Next focus will be the mark up at quater end, another point in time where odd price moves occur which relate to those juicy bonuses that are dished out to all the institutional types. Like on the long side today-TOPP, TTWO, SOS, NMFG >>
