I'll let uyou know. However, let me report on reading in the dark.

last night while my wife was sleeping I was reading the new Stephen King novel in my dark and quiet bedroom. It was very cool. I think I like this toy.

OK, I'll go outside and try it in the light.

Doc,
I tried the reader outside and it seemed to work fine. There are several backlight settings so you can adjust to light conditions.

At some angels there was a little glare but I, for one, have trouble reading in bright sunlight anyway.
