Mike, I don't follow the UNIX biz as closely as I used to, but my HUNCH is that SCO is just one of those proud, old names that old-timers remember fondly. In its day, SCO was the premiere provider of commercial UNIX solutions and its stuff was considered the hottest of the hot, or coolest of the cool whichever way is appropriate these days. Of course the UNIX community never really embraced the holy grail of a single standard, and HP, IBM, and especially Sun just blew right past SCOs little shop without waving.
That said, SCO stuff is broadly deployed and an aggressive CTXS might want to snag its customer base. Have no idea if CTXS needs their technology, but software engineers are always a good catch. Might as well begin a totally unfounded and completely speculative rumor here as elsewhere, eh? Mike Doyle
