MVIS "Design Wins"

Dale, UW in the conf call the CEO or Marketing VP mentioned that one beta site unit was sent to Wallace Kettering Neuroscience Institute (or something like that); a mention of Baylor University but not clear if a unit was sent there; 5 beta site helmet displays and an order for 20 units; and mentions of Virtual Cockpit application and a naval app.

Even though both individuals were effusively positive about the results coming back, this is clearly pre tornado.

More interesting to me was the discussion about the $35 price point for cell phones.(Now how much does QCOM take in per phone?) I thought about this number and am concluding that is a very realistic entry point (of course we have no idea of the current production cost). For those not aware of MVIS's technology it projects an image onto the eye that effectively creates a large virtual display (equivalent to 20" plus diagonal screens). That should make reading email from your cell phone practical!

I got the feeling they were in active discussion on the phone front although that wasn't stated.

The Xybernaut announcement is a new addition to the value chain, but it sounds like product is not yet on the shelf.
