i went long, but not because i believe in Globalstar's business (which i don't: the next "zero billion dollar industry" if there ever was one after Iridium) but because i believe Real Soon Now there is going to be a hellacious short squeeze.

What do you see triggering a short squeeze in the short term?

Can't imagine what would cause a short squeeze except good subscriber or mou numbers reported. If that happens, short squeeze or no (leave that to you traders) G* is a winner and likely cash machine. The only question is demand. Put any flavor of yes answer to that question and G* is a winner.

FWIW - nice trade.

Pierre

Geoff I am always humored by such posts. Folks claim superior insight into a stock's movement...up or down. Unless you knew about the sub numbers or some secret documents your short trade was pure luck. On that score, there is nothing to brag about. I'm not trying to be confrontational here, but veteran traders know the difference between luck and insider knowledge. Did you have insider knowledge?

Your presumption about the system's ultimate failure is based on what? If it is based on FUD, it is meaningless. If it is based on real research on your part, please share with us. If you can convince us that you have more insight into this market than Loral and Qualcomm and the large number of service providers who have signed on then my hat's off to you. But methinks you won't get there.
