Please do not misunderstand.

Based on long long experience in watching Ericsson fumble the ball repeatedly while following Qualcomm and Loral and G*, I agree that the blame rests squarely on Ericsson's shoulders.

(And every once in awhile I wonder if Ericsson's non performance is deliberate - not just incompetence.)

In fact given that knowledge of past non performance by Ericsson, my real question is why can't G* management at least start the process of shifting some GSM G* phone production toward others - help the small Italian firm Telital (sp?) produce more for example.

How about licensing Asian companies to produce GSM G* phones?

Taiwan manufacturers could take that on.
