Unbelievable, CIEN +6 1/2 147!

I hate irrational markets...RMBS will never make what Lucent does...hell, put bell labs on a faster memory interface!

yes about CSCO, TYC has been busy also, LU management also needs to start spinning off some of it's technology gains even incubating some IPO's for shareholder value....hardly any share appreciation the last 12 mos. Institutional holders are getting bored.

look how slow they were to buy ASND! They should have picked up CIEN also?

I'm committing to 3mos....I better see the 90's!

ignorant institutions are the reason we're down today!

telecomguy, RE: There are reasons why the top optics R&D companies & scientists are gravitating toward NT and not CSCO. These billionaire propeller-heads are not intersted in getting another $100 million squeezed from CSCO.

What is interesting is that NT offered 10% than LU for Agere, and yet Agere management took the lower offer, citing LU's greater experience in integrating new businesses. In addition, Agere management cited the greater volatility in NT's stock price, although the facts do not support this premise.
