Donner Corp. International Issues Buy Recommendation on Itronics Inc. SANTA ANA, Calif., March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by Donner Corporation International, a member of the National Association of Securities Dealers, CRD number 37702. Donner Corp. International, an Investment Banking firm headquartered in Santa Ana, Calif., today upgraded to a Buy Recommendation on Itronics Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ITRO - news), Reno, Nevada. Donner issued a Speculative Buy Recommendation in October 1998. Itronics is the only known company in the world with the proven technology to remove 99.999 percent of the silver from photowaste and convert the resulting liquid base into award-winning liquid fertilizers. ``After twelve years and an expenditure of more than $6 million in research, Itronics has developed award-winning fertilizers that not only produce green turf and strong plants but also will help solve a global environmental problem,' Donner said. Donner said that photographic waste, which can be toxic to the environment, is a byproduct of the commercial photographic industry, including photo labs and studios, which represents about one-half of the waste. Hospital X-ray laboratories and radiology departments, dentists and veterinarians account for the balance. ``We believe Itronics is the only company that can offer photowaste generators a cost effective, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional forms of waste management,' Donner said. ``We anticipate that the companies producing photowaste will be very pleased with the solution offered by Itronics. Itronics' Beneficial Use Photochemical Recycling Program is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-recognized program.' Donner said its upgrade to a Buy Recommendation is based on Itronics successfully opening its state-of-the-art 35,000 square foot fertilizer manufacturing facility near Reno, the first of its kind to be built anywhere in the world. ``Start-up operations have been completed, early season deliveries are being made and Itronics is now focusing on expanding operations to meet expected increased sales requirements,' Donner said. ``Itronics has successfully implemented a commercial technology never before tried. That is testimony to Itronics' strong management team.' Donner also emphasized that the Buy Recommendation is based on the Company's announcement that it has completed $3.9 million in private financing, bringing to $7.3 million the total amount of money raised by the Company in the past year. ``This gives Itronics working capital to support the production and marketing of the Company's Gold'n Gro line of liquid fertilizers,' Donner said. The chelated multinutrient liquid fertilizers are currently sold to more than 100 golf courses in California and Nevada. Itronics has a definitive agreement with Western Farm Services, Inc., one of the largest fertilizer retailers in the west, to market Gold'n Gro, Itronics' trademark for its products, to golf courses, plus other high value markets including ornamentals, professional specialty growers and wine grapes. Gold'n Gro fertilizers were selected No. 1 in a University of California, Riverside evaluation program over a two-year period. Itronics resells the silver it extracts to the commercial silver market and markets a five-ounce Silver Nevada Miner bar, a popular souvenir of the state, at its Web site, itronics.com . ``We believe Itronics is undervalued considering that the Company has limited competition in the estimated $1 billion market for photowaste recycling and is the only known Company in the world to completely recycle used photochemicals. With the start-up of the new facility, we conclude that this is a highly undervalued Company with superior growth potential,' Donner said.
