RDRAM price delta drops to 2x. On at least some of the Dell computers, RDRAM is now only twice as expensive as SDRAM. Dell OptiPlex GX300 has 128 MB PC800 ECC RDRAM (256 MB upgrade from 128 MB) for $410 For comparison to SDRAM from the same vendor, look at DELL DIMENSION XPS T and see that a 128 MB DIMM with 100MHz ECC SDRAM (256 MB upgrade from 128 MB) cost $220 Strangely enough, the RDRAM upgrade for the Dell Dimension B is more expensive than for the OptiPlex GX300. Perhaps home users who buy "top of the line" are less price sensitive than business users.) When I paste in the specific URLs they do not work properly so start at dell.com and look under "Medium & Large Business", then "Desktops." I also poked around under "Workstations" and found that the same upgrade is even lower, in one case $341. All the memory options I noticed under "Workstations" are RDRAM.
