They have posted new information about DWM, but I haven't gone through it yet. I haven't followed the press releases, other products, etc., so I don't know how the company is doing. The release of new DWM information seems to indicate more activity again so we will see. I guess the issue is still the same as has been for years: DWM is still a theory. Until there is something using DWM which works, there will continue to be debates, with people taking positions according to their interests and beliefs. IAS probably cannot release enough technical information about DWM to allow a 100% complete analysis from end to end, so this will always be a "war of experts" until there is a physical working prototype which can be shown to everyone freely. It would certainly be interesting to see it work.

I wonder if one of the problems is that IAS has perhaps made its claims in the wrong way. It is not necessary to defeat Shannon's work in order to exceed the limits he calculated in his day. Present day 28.8Kbps modems already do that, but, they do it with coding gain, not by breaking the "Shannon Limit". Perhaps DWM is also using some type of coding, in the final analysis, rather than crowding more into a channel than is predicted to be possible by physical law. In that case, DWM could be shown to be feasible without violation of established physical law.

Just a thought.
