Scott...I have one acct. at Datek and tried to set up others but it was a big pain...they would lose the paper work, etc.

Opened 7 accounts at Suretrade (3 others money which I manage). I kept getting $100-500 calls on one small account and I didn't pay attention to it until they threatened to sell shares. I called them and reminded how much money I had with them and they said each acct. stands on it's own and that account only has a few trades and you will not get any special treatment...I said what???
What happened to customer service....the Manager would not budge...

SO BE CAREFUL IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT SETTING UP A SURETRADE ACCOUNT...THEY DON'T TAKE THE WHOLE PICTURE INTO CONSIDERATION!

THEY ALL SUCK...INCLUDING FIDELITY

Scott- re: abandoning datek ship

i'm keeping a minimal amount in my old datek account so i'll still have access to the free realtime quotes and the realtime quote streamer - i LOVE that streamer (when it works)

i can relate to your comment about talking to a broker. that happens at accutrade too - i didn't know how to act. hahaha!
