Does anybody know if the transformer that was developed to transform gasoline into fuel for the fuel cell would also work with natural gas??

Chad, from their Feb 3rd news release ...

The use of fuel cell technology in homes has come one step closer to
reality following Global Thermoelectric's successful testing of a
prototype integrated solid oxide fuel cell power system that can be used
to create electricity and heat in residences. The natural gas fuelled unit
contains all of the components required to create electricity and heat for
a residence or to produce electrical power in remote areas.

"Successful testing of this baseline prototype is a major step for
Global," stated president and chief executive officer Jim Perry. "In
addition to running on natural gas using a very simple fuel processor,
the demonstration unit proves that the concepts we have developed are
functioning together as an integrated system. Now we can concentrate
on refining the product to make it commercially viable.
