To All,

Perry mentions a point that I find interesting in post #8233:

"I also hear the bells are purposely picking Alcatel equipment that does not support G.Lite in order to make it more difficult for the CLEC's. They may have to share their Central Offices, but they don't have to pick equipment that helps the CLEC's."

What does anybody think about this? If we are to assume that this is true, doesn't such a decision by the RBOC's hamper their own potential DSL revenues? Doesn't G.Lite offer both the CLEC's AND the RBOC's the ability to roll out DSL quicker and cheaper by eliminating the 'truck roll'? Once on-line, subscriber fees contribute to the bottom-line. The more subscribers you have, the higher your revenue, and the cheaper the cost, theoretically, of providing that service. Could there be come political posturing by the RBOC's which will dampen the wide-spread use of G.Lite? Could this be 'market share tactics'? Am I missing anything?

Please educate me. Thanks in advance.

Joe

Perry I know, I've held this stock when it was at $4+ and when it was $87. We'll see $87 again, but won't have a chance to load up in the single digits again.
